Jakarta, Indonesia, April 2013 Grand Hyatt Jakarta congratulates its outstanding chefs for winning ‘Overall Best Team’ at the 9th Indonesian Salon Culinaire at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran on 10-13 April 2013. Held concurrently with the 12th Food & Hotel Exhibition Indonesia, the 9th Indonesian Salon Culinaire is an exciting artistic competition showcasing skills, creativity, expertise of chefs and apprentices in the industry. As members of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and in order to assist and improve the standard of culinary fare in Indonesia, a number of WACS-certified judges were flown in to judge the competition.
Thirty-two chefs from Grand Hyatt Jakarta participated in 25 classes of competition, with 20 of them being awarded 5 silver medals, 15 bronze medals and 5 diplomas:

The above achievements helped Grand Hyatt Jakarta win ‘Overall Best Team’ in this culinary competition. Executive Chef Rolf Knecht said “This is the first time we have had such great success.
