Jakarta, 22 to 28 APRIL 2013 – Chef Mzukisi Bruce Mofemele and Chef Mandla Nomsinga fly in from Hyatt Regency Oubaai Golf Resort & Spa to present South African cuisine at C’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant and Grand Café, highlighting the Rainbow Nation’s very best signature dishes. Dale Parkington, Director of Food and Beverage at Grand Hyatt Jakarta remarked, “South Africa’s National Day returns on 27 April and it’s a great reason to relive all the colorful memories we shared together last year when we celebrated South Africa’s cuisine, wine and culture.” Guests are also encouraged to experience typical face painting with traditional designs of the Zulu and Xhosa tribes and take pleasure in South Africa’s iconic Pinotage and Chenin Blanc wines.
Chef Mzukisi, Chef de Cuisine at Hyatt Regency Oubaai brings with him 17 years of culinary expertise, prior to Grand Hyatt Jakarta, he was once trusted with a South African promotion at Grand Hyatt Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman. Chef Mandla Nomsinga started his culinary career as Chef de Partie in a five-star hotel in Cape Town in 2004. Seven years later he gained a position as senior sous chef at the exclusive Shamwari Game Reserve, before joining Hyatt Regency Oubaai Golf Resort & Spa in 2011 as Sous Chef responsible for the events kitchen.
